Lytle Scholarship Fund

“Still We Rise,” the 25th annual Lytle Scholarship concert, took place in April 2022 as a joint production of Common Ground Theatre, the La Jolla Theatre Ensemble, and the UC San Diego Department of Music in celebration of American diversity in poetry and music.

Each year, celebrated musicians and Professor Emeritus Cecil Lytle perform the Lytle Scholarship concert to raise funds for the Lytle Scholarship Current Fund founded by Lytle and his children to honor his late wife. The fund benefits Preuss School graduates attending UC San Diego – awarding more than $30,000 in scholarships each year.

Through his visionary role in founding The Preuss School in 1999 and raising scholarship funds annually, Professor Lytle has been instrumental in championing equity, diversity and inclusion on our campus.
The Preuss School serves more than 850 students who aspire to become the first in their families to attend college.

We hope that you will help us support the future of Preuss School students by contributing to the Lytle Scholarship Current Fund >>
